Kirche fängt an, wo andere aufhören
We believe in the unchanged message of the Bible that God the Creator, the Father, loves people and desires a personal relationship with them.
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that he was born as a human being, and that through his life, death, and resurrection a personal relationship with God became possible. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is at the center of our faith and actions.
And we believe in the Holy Spirit and His work in our lives. We believe that the words of the Bible are alive, relevant, powerful, and true. We believe that you can communicate with God in your everyday language, anywhere and anytime.
The Dawning Kingdom of God:
We understand the Kingdom of God as the central message of the Bible. In the person of Jesus, the Kingdom of God has dawned. He embodies it with words, deeds, and miracles. We await signs of this new kingdom in the tension between ‚already‘ and ’not yet,‘ and live out its mission with a positive worldview.
God’s powerful, tangible presence.
We value God’s powerful presence, in which we experience forgiveness, healing, and liberation. We understand church as a community of people who, based on this experience, submit to God’s will, accept his guidance, and share their lives with one another.
Mercy that turns towards humanity
We appreciate God’s merciful love for every person. Those who open themselves to this mercy experience healing and restoration. We want to bring others along on this path by actively caring for the sick, the broken, the poor, and the lost.
Healing Community:
We value strong and honest relationships that build bridges. We want to treat each individual as God treats us: with love, acceptance, and forgiveness. Such relationships create reality and vitality.
Renewal that permeates church and society.
We value God’s mandate and mission to spread his life today. This life unfolds in existing and new forms of church and society. Therefore, we engage in social issues in the hope of shaping our world in a positive way.
